If it were a better guitar, it would be a good intermediate guitar. If it were better than that, it would be a good guitar.
There is a great deal of competition in the beginner guitar market. That’s because lots of people begin playing guitar, and a considerably smaller number of people keep with it. Anyway, what that does, basically, is make it so that there are very few companies churning out a truly bad product. When you’ve got a name like Yamaha (look into it, they make everything) you can’t sell complete garbage. So, what they do is sell affordable, competitive, decent quality stuff, much like that perfectly fine, perfectly beginner guitar you’ve picked out.
