Tone knobs aren’t doing anything… (guitar question)
Well, I seem to be asking a lot of questions about my guitar right now… and here is another one.
I have a Squier Strat Affinity Series (hss). It has two tone control knobs; I’m guessing that one is for the single coils and one is for the humbucker. The problem is, the tone knobs don’t do anything; and yesterday the lower tone knob was crackling when I turned it in a certain spot.
I’m pretty sure that I could fix this myself, as I have access to some soldering tools and such. I just don’t know what to do…
So, how would I go about fixing it? And I heard that taking off all of the strings at once can damage the neck (I have done this before because I didn’t know, but it doesn’t appear to be damaged in any way), so what would I do about that?

I’m not planning on doing anything crazy… I’d be willing to open the guitar up and solder some wires together or something. I don’t want to have to pay a lot of money…
Try Guitar ceneter. My guitar string poped out and I did not know how to fix it. Before you do something crazy I recomend That you see a perfesional at guitar center.
