Create Custom Guitar Picks
Guitar Picks?

I am taking up guitar again, however due to injuries incurred to my right arm and hand, I have difficulties holding a normal guitar pick. So I am thinking of using a custom created pick that will extend downward across my palm, so that I can use gripping motion instead of pinching motion to hold the pick. Does anyone know of any picks like this, or will I have to make my own? And anything I should be aware of creating a pick like this?

Why not just use a thumb pick? No gripping at all. As a victim of carpal tunnel and Rheumatoid Arthritis I can relate. I just quit using picks and play fingerstyle (mainly), but the break that I’ve given my hand has done wonders, and I CAN use a flat pick again. Just not all the time.

You may be onto something though. If you could draw a picture, or create a prototype, I’d be interested in hearing from you via email.
